Over twenty-five years as a cardiac anaesthetist, college tutor, programme director, Head of School and Regional Adviser in Anaesthesia Su is always keen to teach and support anaesthetists in training and has encouraged many senior trainees to do the same. The One Heart course is a great example of this principle. When not at work she likes to sample new restaurants (plenty in Bristol), walk in the countryside, pop up to London to see friends and relatives or down to Cornwall for some seaside rest and relaxation.

I trained as Enrolled Nurse in Wales and RGN in England. I've worked in various hospitals in England and Wales and completed my cardio thoracic course in Leicester. I have 28 years Intensive Care experience mostly Cardiac and have worked in Bristol CICU for 26 years. After working in the NHS for 38 years I've recently retired and with me extensive experience in Critical care this has enabled me to participate in the One Heart Study days. Interests outside of work I sing in a choir, like to socialise, walking, skiing travel the world.
